Born in London to Zimbabwean and English parents, Stephen studied the violin and piano at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and film composition with Amit Sen. Stephen began his career with the Reggae Philharmonic Orchestra, leading the RPO string section in concert tours, recording sessions  and arranging and co-arranging the strings for influential artists in the pop world such as Soul II Soul, Gabrielle and Maxi Priest. He developed into an exciting and dynamic string arranger in his own right collaborating on several chart albums and top ten singles with high profile artists such as D-Influence, Robert Miles and more recently Keane and The Script. Stephen specialises in projects that bridge different music genres and cultures. He has worked with many leading artists and orchestras for over 20 years.
